Ninth: Directorate of Personal Exposure Control:
The directorate shall be managed by an employee of at least the second level who holds a first university degree and has service in the field of the directorate’s work for a period of not less than 15 years.
The Directorate undertakes the following tasks:
- Licensing workers in the field of ionizing radiation in accordance with actual and ongoing radiation practice in this field
- Renewing the licenses of workers annually in the ionizing radiation field
- Monitor personal exposure of workers
- Providing workers with personal exposure measures to measure radiation dose
- Calculating the radiation service for workers
- Approval of the employment of radiation protection officials in all institutions
- Documenting and updating the data record of workers in the ionizing radiation field
- Follow up on changes that occur to employees
- Conducting medical examinations for new and continuing employees
- Evaluating the results of medical examinations, documenting them, and following up on the changes occurring in them.
- Determine the limits of investigation of occupational exposure to radiation practices and follow up according to the results
