Personal Exposure Control

Ninth: Directorate of Personal Exposure Control:
The directorate shall be managed by an employee of at least the second level who holds a first university degree and has service in the field of the directorate’s work for a period of not less than 15 years.

The Directorate undertakes the following tasks:

1.  Licensing workers in the field of ionizing radiation in accordance with actual and ongoing radiation practice in this field
2. Renewing the licenses of workers annually in the ionizing radiation field
3. Monitor personal exposure of workers
4.  Providing workers with personal exposure measures to measure radiation dose
5. Calculating the radiation service for workers
6. Approval of the employment of radiation protection officials in all institutions
7.  Documenting and updating the data record of workers in the ionizing radiation field
8. Follow up on changes that occur to employees
9. Conducting medical examinations for new and continuing employees
10. Evaluating the results of medical examinations, documenting them, and following up on the changes occurring in them.
11. Determine the limits of investigation of occupational exposure to radiation practices and follow up according to the results
