Nuclear Control

Third: Directorate of Nuclear Control:
The directorate shall be managed by an employee of at least the second level who holds a master’s degree and has service in the field of the directorate’s work for a period of no less than 15 years.

The Directorate undertakes the following tasks:

1. Granting a license to choose a site for a nuclear facility
2.  Approval of designs for establishing nuclear facilities
3. Granting a license to establish the nuclear facility
4.  Granting a license for trial operation of the nuclear facility
5.  Granting permission to enter service
6. Granting leave to be removed from service
7. Inspecting nuclear facility sites for the purposes of granting a license
8. Initial, periodic, or surprise inspection for the purposes of ensuring that the license requirements are met
9. Final inspection for the purpose of removal from service
10.  Monitoring and inspecting the liquidation of nuclear facilities.
